Possibly moving to another country but wont know for definite until just after christmas. if we do then ds will have to leave his toys etc behind. we have agreed to replace his x box 360 and some other bits when we move. our problem is what do we buy him for xmas?

electricity will be a different volt and if he takes his psp his games will probably not work as well.

he loves taking photos using my phone so we were thinking a digital camera may be a good idea, also its something he can take up as a hobby).

Can you recommend a good one for him that will not break the bank (maximum £60) and that will not drop to bits after a short while.

What about this ?

Waterproof, a big rubber bumper in case it gets dropped, seems like a nice rugged boyish camera.

we bought this

and it is brilliant. Easy to use, can do films on it, it has several types of looks eg fish eye, black and white etc, and you it even has a setting so you can take a pic of yourself with a screen that magically appears on the front of the camera so you can see exactly what you are pointing at.

Why not get him an ipod touch? I was very Hmm when ex suggested for DS, but it is great. he can spend his pocket £ on apps, which will replace the PSP, the camera and video camera are pretty good, there are also loads of free apps to mess about with the photos, and he will be able to email/facetime family and friends in the UK. DS got his for his 9th birthday and has been very careful with it. I only spend £50 max on my DC for presents, so he had it from everyone in the family
