Santa brings stocking and one main present - basically everything that we buy. Everyone else's presents are from them.

Don't some people insist that all presents (including those from family/friends) must be marked as coming from Santa too? That always seems really unfair to me. I want my kids to know and be grateful that grandparents, uncles, friends etc have given them gifts. Also insist on thank you cards as well.

FC brings stocking and the much wanted present of the year ... Stocking usually full of things mummy won't buy. This yr will be bubblegum, anything that contains that goo stuff, a can of fizzy drink etc...

Scottish here too Vodka, everyone I know there says Santa. I live in the Midlands now and everyone here says Father Christmas. My two are very young but oldest is 3 now so I am looking forward to Christmas being extra exciting this year!

Ok, we did Santa brings stocking my ds asked why do I do a letter to Santa then? You just buy me it. Thankfully the phone rang so conversation didn't finish.

Santa brings everything in my house. I use the logic my parents used which was: Parents and family members send the presents to Santa then he decides whether to bring them based on which list you're on and Santa gets you the big present you asked for if you've been especially good.

Stockings and the main present here.

My children don't write to Father Christmas nor are they told that presents come from being good due to my own fear that one year finances will limit our options. Gifts are all fairly token in our house anyway, we're Christians so the birth of Jesus is the focus.

Stockings, which are very small nowadays, just chocolate coins and a few little bits and bobs. Considered phasing them out altogether actually. Got fed up of spending a fortune filling the huge stockings they used to have only for the contents to be glanced over and then quickly abandoned in favour of the main gifts.

Dd writes a Christmas list that she gives to me because we buy the presents. She also suggests things that she hopes Santa will put in her stocking like sparkly nail polish, a whoopee cushion, some chocolate coins etc and things that she knows I won't buy but Santa has been known to put in her stocking like fake tattoos, nail gems and small practical jokes Wink

Santa brings stocking and the big main present. DS thinks its all from santa anyway as he is sooo totally overexcited he doesn't remember. He is only 4.

Stockings (well massive sacks) are from FC with games, books, toys & DVD's etc.

One main present (ipod / camera type gift) goes under my parents tree (from DH & I) as we all go round there at about 10am.

In our house, Father Christmas brings the stocking (sack for us). It usually contains all sorts of essential presents, like a year's supply of socks, pants, vests etc.., books, small items, and like chiefowl we have a very naughty Father Christmas who buys things that I never let the children have (like bubble gum).

Then the children get their main presents from us / others.
