If you don't like Christmas
If you don't buy your presents until Christmas Eve
If you haven't even had your summer holidays yet...

Then DON'T click on Christmas Threads.

The clue is in the name.

It does what it says on the tin

I bloody hate chickens so I don't click on the Chicken page on Pets.

It's rude and childish and people who do like the Christmas thread don't have to justify ourselves to you

I love and hate Christmas. I love the Yankee candle testers I buy, the wrapping paper, the treats, the excitement, the smell (I swear I can smell it), the twinkling lights etc but hate the fact that I can't afford much so people go without or my gifts are not as good as others are. I'm not much of a cook either but this Christmas has got to be better than last year when everyone except me became ill and nobody eat the dinner I made :(

What the....MUMSNET HAS A CHRISTMAS SECTION?!?!?!?!

This Christmas, if all goes to plan, DH and I shall have departed city life for a country cottage (I refuse to accept we might end up in a flat) with OPEN FIRES and A PANTRY FOR ROWS OF HOMEMADE CHUTNEY! I have NEVER been as excited about Christmas as I am this year!

Eep!

Sorry, I realise that wasn't the point of the thread...

usualsuspect · 05/08/2012 10:00

As long as people put their christmas threads in here then NP.

IamnotaStepfordHousewife · 05/08/2012 10:48

That sounds fabulous jodieharsh I'm looking forward to doing my chutneys too! There is something ridiculously satisfying about jars of homemade chutney Smile
