Do I have the record for the first Christmas thread of 2012?

The Holiday Grand Plan began yesterday, so I am working on giving the garden it's pre-winter spruce-up this week (including washing all the ground floor outside windows), and writing all my lists.

DD made her first Christmas card on Saturday - unprompted by me . DH will be getting a lovely snowman scene. And her crafts stuff is now all organised again too to work away on all such plans she has in her little head!!

Love this thread! It's my dd's 1st Christmas and although she probably won't be that interested being 10 months old, I can't wait! No one in rl shares my Christmas enthusiasm so I'm glad I've found you all! Ive already started my Christmas shopping so I can enjoy dec and not be all stressed like previous years. Anyone have any ideas on where sells nice gift bags that aren't too expensive? I'm goin to need quite a few.

Have made serious in roads on my shopping now too, excitement is building here!!

Got a few more stocking fillers! A set of muppet figures for DD, and some funky socks and where's wally boxers for DH :o

Oh where did you get the Muppet figures from, Fuzzpig? DD loves the Muppets.

Happy belated birthdays to little Fizzpig and little Rabid - I hope they both had great days (and lots of cake!!). Is cake becoming a theme on here?!

I haven't done any more shopping yet, but I did get DH to tell me the rough (very rough) plans for his travels between now and Christmas (he heads off for 3 weeks on Sunday, so I wanted to get an idea to be able to start booking Santa etc). It LOOKS like he will be home all of December!! But he then retracted with a big caveat a few minutes later that it was still too early to know - but I am hopeful and he does know WHY I wanted to know!!

DC back to school this week (so on my non work days I can peruse the shops and start picking up Stocking Gifts )

I've been away all weekend, we went to a nearish city for our 5 year wedding anniversary. I may have gone a bit mad in the Disney store [embarrassed]! I know that I can never take dd in there, we would never get her to leave without a massive tantrum! We also went to Toys r Us and got a few things too.

Hope little rabd and little fuzzpig had nice birthdays!
