Does no-one leave their decorations up until 12th night anymore?

I feel like a right freak with decorations, tree etc still up. I thought the custom was to leave Christmas decorations up until 12th night. I suppose that custom, as with so many others, has vanished.

Am I the only one?!

Welcome to Mumsnet Kiwette Smile

Top tip - don't venture on to AIBU until you're really settled - don't for example start a thread in AIBU asking "Am I being unreasonable to have a nanny on a self-employed contract ?" - for various reasons some will say "yes, YABU"

There - I'm more or less saying YABU and you didn't even ask yet !

Except I am being rebellious and keeping some fairy lights up :)

Kiwette - you can't just decide she will be self employed. The Inland Revenue know people like to do this and they are on to you. Read this here

Also - are you for real deciding that she won't get paid holidays? Hmm You need to do a lot more research!

Northernlurker · 06/01/2012 18:32

Oh yes - my decs came down yesterday.
