Does he go in now (and risk excited kids when they find stockings) or at 0530 and run the risk of bumping into the DC??

Hide their clocks and leave it later!

HollyPricklesMyFanjo · 25/12/2011 00:58

Ours are in the front room so no problem. It's a bit like the tooth fairy, she forgets sometimes because she does not wake up early enough Blush. Can you go in now and put them back out of sight in case they wake?

planetpotty · 25/12/2011 01:00

Hmm we have visitors so they're sharing a room. So I'm worried they will stir in the night see them and shout HE'S BEEN!!! At 0230!

Leave them outside the bedroom door.

Meglet · 25/12/2011 01:12

I think FC is going to have to sneak in and grab their stockings, fill them up then hook them outside their doors. DS is excited and restless so I haven't been able to go in yet.

well according to norad santa has been to the uk, and mine are still awake [well someone is up there, i just heard the bedroom door] shall i show who ever it is that they have missed santa [evil smile]

Meglet · 25/12/2011 01:30

Right, words have been had with DS and his stocking is now outside his room. With a bit of luck he'll drop back off to sleep and I can creep across the landing at 2am . Little sod had been feeling his stocking and complained it was still flat Hmm.

Who needs sleep anyway.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 25/12/2011 01:32

Xmas Grin i am so pleased i am not alone

HollyPricklesMyFanjo · 25/12/2011 01:33

Blimey..I'm lucky. Even my 11yo went to bed at 8:30 tonight as Santa will only come if you are asleep. Am a little shocked by 11yo..he has written a card for Santa and Rudolph and gone to bed over an hour early..is he not getting a little old for all that??

Fairytightsonmychristmastree · 25/12/2011 01:37

My 10yo left a baileys, mince pie and 2 carrots for Santa tonight!! I was also surprised.
The pressies have arrived downstairs but the stockings are still empty upstairs here due to restless children!!

YAWN!!!

TheCatInTheHairnet · 25/12/2011 01:41

My 10 year old has been tracking FC all day and I'm equally surprised. I guess they want to cover all their options.

stargazer83 · 25/12/2011 03:13

My 6yo has finally gone to sleep after I threatened to cancel Christmas [bad mummy emotion]

Merry Christmas all

MintSpy · 25/12/2011 03:32

Well, I have just been caught by my 7 year old DTD's.

Seconds after I put their santa sacks on the end of the bed, thought I had got away with it for another year, they come flying down the stairs saying santa's been.

They must have seen me, but they are not letting on.

Have had to let them open their presents.

I'm sad though. Has all gone very wrong this end.

DTD1 said 'santa was wearing same pyjamas as you mummy' and gave me a knowing look Xmas Grin

partytights · 25/12/2011 03:40

Oh, MintSpy! Did they believe? Bless you! I bet it'll be hilarious to look back on.

MintSpy · 25/12/2011 03:46

Yes they believed.

DTD1 may have had an inkling, but am sure she is in no doubt now, bless her.

It is so funny how they are not saying a word though, like you know that I know that you know.........

Too right, will look back one day and laugh.

Still remember catching my mum out at around this age. Came out of my bedroom to see her sat on the loo, door wide open, huge santa sack at her feet Xmas Grin

inchoccyheaven · 25/12/2011 11:58

Mintspy your last sentance just sounds so dirty Xmas Grin

Santa had to wait until 1.30am to deliver as 11 yr old was still awake and he still totally believes. 9 yr old was out like a light aout 10pm bless him.

They got up at 7.15am so not bad at all, in fact it is probably the earliest they have woken up.

planetpotty · 26/12/2011 10:51

OP here - I fell asleep and only just back!

Thanks for the info Wink in the end he came at 04:45 and left them outside the door phew!
