DD 3.4 is laying in bed, but not asleep yet.

simpson · 24/12/2011 20:30

DD (3) has been asleep since 7 Shock

DS (6) is pretending to sleep, wish he would hurry up I want to do the stockings

soonbeforty · 24/12/2011 20:32

Both dd's (7 and 3) went quiet amazingly quickly, but we'll see what time they wake up! Expecting a very early start. Must remember not to phone anyone straight away (forgot one year that my sister is childless and therefore doesn't get up at 7am on Christmas day!).

fedup10 · 24/12/2011 20:44

Nope! 3 yo DD is down but not asleep and 5 yo DD is currently sorting Santa and his reindeers snacks, ready: 2 mince pies, 4 oranges, 8 carrots, a glass.of water, a rubixs cube and now she has just sat down to write him a letterXmas Smile

Trying to settle ds (2) somewhat unsucessfully despite his clear exhaustion, not liking his camp bed. Girls gone off singing carols to church, hoping by time they get back sleep will be inevitable. Hoping to wrap FIL present for dh once ds asleep, oh and children's presents from FIL, no rest for the wrappiing fairy tonight!

HoneydragonAteCliffRichard · 24/12/2011 20:50

dd (2) currently asleep on lap. DS (8) has just gone up to listen to an audiobook but suspect is secretly tracking Santa on Norad.

I have to get the DCs up to bed to prepare the front room, and wrap DDs Sylvanian Family Regency Hotel. We got it ages ago (half price Argos) but it's been disguised in our room.
DD was asking her dad to get her the Hotel today and bring it home on the bus Xmas Shock -yeah right- and feigned despair when she saw they were sold out online and he came home without it. She knows what's in the box BTW Xmas Grin

Then we need to put wrapping paper across the lounge door,( put the presents in the front room first.) Then stockings upstairs.

Now just go to sleep, ratbags!

CherrysOnTheNaughtyList · 24/12/2011 21:14

mine all went to bed at 8.30 (omfg) this includes almost 13 year old ds1, almost 11 year old ds2 and the girls who are 6 and 5. i cant hear them, but they got new dvd's from santa's elves to watch tonight so not expecting to hear them. the boys have Tron and the girls have Tangled.

ShowOfHands · 24/12/2011 21:29

4yo dd asleep within minutes of her story. 3 month old ds snoozing on my lap. Just got to fill stockings, fake some footprints and then going to eat, drink and be merry.

androbbob · 24/12/2011 21:47

Operation Santa is gearing up. DS (4) and DD (9) in bed and I think they are asleep (not been to check, jsut trying to carry on as normal until 10). Stuff is in lounge behind sofa and jsut needs putting in sacks. Stockings are hidden in their rooms (risky I know) as I have two sets - one for the room for them to hang up and a pre-packed one ready for a quick switch! Cant wait until it is all done though then I can breath easy!

GRRRRRR dd4 and ds down stairs, dp is just about to take them back up, dd1 and dd2 being very good and staying up stairs.

cece · 24/12/2011 22:23

ha ha ha ha - tis only 10.30pm, of course they aren't asleep...

ginmakesitallok · 24/12/2011 22:25

Both in bed. DD1 no problem (8) she'll sleep til 7. DD2 however is a different kettle of fish altogether - (2) - she'll wake as soon as we go to bed and be in our bed by 4

2kidsintow · 24/12/2011 22:35

Nope. Not helped by the fact that as I snuck their presents past their doors to take them downstairs I realised that I hadn't remembered to ask them to wrap the presents that I have put to one side for them to give to each other. Ah well.

They are 10 and 7 and don't usually sleep too early anyway.

3duracellbunnies · 24/12/2011 22:41

No, for some reason dh decided after bringing them home from church to bring out the family photos. In other room giggling over 70s/80s fashion. Does he not realise I want to go to bed and I know which presents are which (or at least able to transfer from bag marked x to stocking marked x). Grrr

Acinonyx · 24/12/2011 23:02

MustControlMincepieOfDeath · 24/12/2011 23:04
