DS is just recovering from sickness bug and dd has been throwing up all day - both in jammies on the couch and can't be bothered with anything - feel so bad for them. DP is working til at least midnight and i'm fed-up and bored already - it's going to be a long night!!

Oh no!!!! Poor you!! I reckon this may be a Christmas you would rather forget. At the very least, you will be able to say in years to come: "Remember that Christmas when DS was just recovering from a sickness bug and DD threw up all day? That was when DP worked til midnight and it was Christmas Eve and I was so fed up!"

Poor you! At the very, very least I hope that you and your DP manage to avoid the bug. Happy Christmas!
