DS ,s present,is currently hid in next doors garage(cant come into the house, too big). The plan was to bring it over this afternoon and put it in our garage when he was out with his mates, but he came home last night with man flu and announced he was staying home all day today. So plans have flown out of the window.I forsee much furtive sneaking about very late tonight after he has gone too bed,the joys of having teenagers.

Its a pit bike, some sort of off road motorbike,a joint present from us and his two grown up brothers.I havent seen it yet but dh reckons he will be over the moon with it.

Ummm could you ring or txt the neighbours and see if they can move it to the garage for you?

overmydeadbody · 24/12/2011 09:42

Would he even notice you putting something in the garage? I know I could get something like this past my teenage brother as he'd be busy in his room/sprawled on the sofa and not really aware of what I was doing if I went outside and started messing around in the garage.

Or he might have an afternoon nap?

Its going to be have done under the cover of darkness,we are rural, huge open driveway,he only needs to glance out the window and wont fail to see somebody pushing it in.I think I was a secret agent in another lifeXmas Grin

Would the neighbours let you run a string from the bike, under the garage door, through your letter box, and to the tree? Then attach a bauble or tag with his name on and make him follow the string tomorrow. You can all troop behind making helpful comment as he goes Xmas Grin

I like the string idea :o

Meow75isknittinglikemad · 24/12/2011 10:19

Another vote for string, or put a note in a card, treasure hunt stylee!!

hollyonthesleigh · 24/12/2011 10:25

I like the string idea as well, but when I suggested it dh looked at me like I had 2 heads.Might print a photo off and wrap it with the keys if we dont manage to get it in the garage tonight.Mind you tomorrow morning might be a better time,he sleeps like a log.
