stuffing too dry??

I'm trying to make my own stuffing this year. I've tried it twice but it just seems really dry. Tonight I made it by frying some onion and butter, then softening a bramley apple. Then mixed in bread crumbs and an egg yolk with some sage, salt and pepper. Then mixed in sausage meat. I added some water, but it is just really dry!

DH suggested adding apple juice, as can't really taste the apple either. Does anyone else know what to suggest??

Forget the water and add more melted butter

How much do you think? I roughly put about a tablespoon in yesterday with the onions, but a lot had dried up before I mixed it all together.

Add some more sausagemeat if you've any left, might do the trick.
