Had a day off today to go to Cribs Causeway for last bits of shopping and nice food from M&S By the time I'd walked the dog and taken DS1 to work I was already quite late so I just got into the clothes I wore to work yesterday.
M&S was heaving and I felt hot and irate before I'd been there 10 minutes. I just wandered around buying whatever I fancied that looked nice, the basket was heavy, people were pushing and shoving ( yes, in M&S they push and shove and then say sorry!)
Amongst all this there was an immaculate lady in lovely boots, top with pussycat bow, lovely hair, trolley full of goodies and she had a big list that she was ticking off with her purchases ( and they were rather more than my allowance will run too - lots of flowers and other goodies too).
Why is that imaculate, organised person never me? The more I looked the more of them I saw - 2 saints buying cushions with well behaved children in tow, loads more in John Lewis looking as if Christmas shopping in the middle of the scrum was one of lifes most laid back pleasures. By the time I got back to the car my hair was everywhere, I was sweaty and redfaced (yes, I did put my make up on) Grrr, just Grrr.
