I have asked someone I know to make a chocolate cake for me. The ingredients have come to £15 but how much should I add on top for her time and trouble?

It must be a massive cake for the ingredients to come to £15. Is this what she has quoted you as an 'all in' price including fuel costs and her time? Or did you buy the ingredients and give them to her to make the cake? It's hard to know how to price it otherwise.

She has used lots of green and blacks Grin. I was thinking about £10 on top as I would pay about £25 for a birthday cake ordered from Waitrose.

I guess that would be OK, especially if she is doing lots of chocolate confectioning.

I gave her £25, and she seemed v happy with that. The cake is in the kitchen. I'm trying to resist having a slice before my houseguests arrive tomorrow.
