Expat living abroad, ordered pressies 5 weeks ago, just been told they have not yet left UK and will not be here. Nearest toyshop 1000 miles away, need good excuse for kids - they are too old for us to change the date as they are counting the days....any suggestions (the trampoline failure last year was due to santa thinking it would be best for william to get it in the summer when he could use it - the boys thought that was sensible, but it wion't wash for the lightsabres.....)

Xmas Sad No ideas sorry. Father Christmas is ill. Would that work?
What terrible service for the company!

what if Santa had a little thought, that some children living in all parts of the world should have an 'old fashioned christmas' with toys that are available locally and games they already have - you could still have a lovely lovely christmas day as a family ......then after Christmas when the special gifts arrived you could have a special tea and another little Christmas .....itd be very special to be chosen to have the special old fashioned christmas.Xmas Wink???

Take photos of what is coming and wrap
Them up and
Say that Santas sleigh broke down but he had sent the photos and to check the post every day?

Can you make a board game and make shift light sabres from wrapping paper tubes for the meantime?

We made a gingerbread man board game recently based on the book. Could you do this with a book they like?

1000 miles from a toy shop? Crikey!
