Our Collie also died in October, now we are only left with the very crazy (still behaving like a puppy) Alsation. He is far to big for the bed. Although, here is a thought - DH can sleep with DS every night so I get uninterrupted sleep and the dog can snuggle up with me instead. There you go, all problems solved Xmas Grin

DH just called he is going to his dad first, but I should better start soon. 5-6 is actually early for other people. I know some who don't eat till after their children are in bed. I'd be starving by then.

What is Nativity like? I have marked it in the Radio Times (we only get it Christmas can't afford it throughout the year), wanted to watch it. We got so many Christmas films recorded, we need to catch up on them soon.

Right, I'm off now. Pork steaks, chips potatoes and salad. Yum! Will be back tonight and then it's almost 5 sleeps!!!! Xmas Grin Actually, 5 sleeps til German Christmas, hooray!!!

Awww, (((HUG))) for you.

Dog would also keep you extra warm in bed !

I know 5-6 is early for others, I know some people who don't eat with their DCs till between 7-8, but then wonder why the DCs are stroppy.

We have always eaten as a family. I have never put the DCs to bed, then us eaten. Wouldn't be able to afford all the 'seperate' meals either !

Nativity is v. amusing. A little 'spoiler'....the children get taken to see a baby being born !

I will see you later ! Xmas Grin

Just quickly popping in while dinner is ready getting cold and waiting for DH.

We also eat as a family, but when he is in nursery we sometimes indulge just the two of us. Like a date :) He gets fed there anyway, so we don't have to feel guilty.

Sounds like the film is worth watching.

And hugs to you too. Dogs are part of the family and it is always so hard. Will miss her this Christmas.

It is very worth watching. Xmas Grin

I miss my girl every day. Just not the same without her. I won't ever let myself fall quite so in love with a dog again.

Christmas time is very strange without her. She was so much a part of the family, it will be weird having camera footage and none of her. Xmas Sad

I am totally with you. We were looking at pictures and videos from last Christmas the other day and she was always wagging her tail in the background and now she is gone. Xmas Sad

Peanuts, hope your dog will stay ok for a long time.

Anyway, I'm signing off for tonight. We will finish yesterday's film and if we feel like it also watch Fred Claus. Otherwise it's early bedtime again (more likely).

Have a good evening and I shall see you at 5 sleeps Xmas Grin
