DH playing Santa on Monday

Any wise words or advice?! He is rather nervous! 40 kids from local village to contend with at Christmas party, usual Santa had an accident and DH has been forced into asked to step in!

What does he say if they ask if he is the 'real' Santa? They are bound to pull his beard arn't they?

personally this is the highlight of my year and am finding it far too hilarious to be any support to him

Ah, my DH played Santa (yes, Santa for all you Father Xmas lot!) one year, his worst moment was when Ds2 recognised him and said so. Loudly.

Obviously, DH is "Santa's helper" if asked. Grin

And best wishes to him!

Tell him to remove any jewellery that your DCs will recognise. Have vivid memories of spotting Father Christmas wearing my dad's signet ring and the penny dropping slowly that he isn't real. Wasn't helped when Father Christmas then sauntered over to our table (was in a working man's club), necked 'daddy's beer' and goosed my mum. Hmm

Thanks :) Definitely Santa in there parts not Father Christmas!

Dd is only little, she calls Santa 'Ho Ho Maaaaannnnn' so can here her now saying that followed by 'Da Da? DA DA!'

DH is positively traumatised at the thought, first thing he said this morning was 'what if I spoil some little kids Xmas by not being good enough?' taking it a touch seriously!

Getting the costume from the organiser today - what will he put on his feet? Black wellies?

How did it go?

PuffOfSmoke · 20/12/2011 10:28

Was great!

A little kid gave him a balloon to take back for the elves! So he must have been convincing!

Dd did shout Da Da when he came in and HO HO HO when he returned in his normal clothes! Grin
