What to get for third child?

Wondering what we can get for ds (2). We don't plan to have any more children so don't want to spend loads on tat he will grow out of soon. We already have elc garage + cars, he has lots of dinosaurs, bob the builder characters, railway set, sticklebricks, knights. I often got boys stuff from charity shop when girls younger, so our stock is quite unisex. We have got him a few dressing up things, football + cones, few more bits for train. Dd giving him their old pirate ship which he hasn't seen + think he will enjoy. Just think he hasn't got as much from us as dd1+2. Not sure he will notice but they will.

Had wondered about scooter as ours are pink, but decided he will then just want to scoot to school, which will take ages. He likes drawing (but have aquadraw + megasketcher), monkeys (but has adopted girls' extensive primate soft toy collection), dinosaurs, knights (fil giving knight costume). Any ideas, ideally something he will enjoy from now to school in 2014.

If he likes drawing you could get him a wooden easel. It's something that he will enjoy for many years.

I really like the Imaginext toys. I've bought DS (3 tomorrow) the fire station for his birthday, and some things from the space series for Christmas. They aren't ridiculously expensive for the size of them (I got space station for £15, rocket for £30). Ebay is worth a look. They are really sturdy toys (the figures are chunky and ok for a 2 year old) and I've been very impressed by them. They also do dinosaurs/knights/pirates etc. Ebay is worth a look for both new and second hand or they are stocked by most toy sellers, like Argos, Tesco, Toys R Us.

I haven't got DS their Batcave, but that looks like it has become very popular this year.

Duplo?

What about a nice farm set. I got Ds2 a lovely one a few years back from elc. I've now donated it to the nursery where I work and its still going strong.

Have you got a brio train set? They are worth their weight in gold and lidl had some nice sets in last week. If I remember corectly, they had a zoo animals one and were much cheaper than you normally pay. I got mine from tk maxx, which were also much cheaper.

Thank you for all the ideas. Have decided to go with rocket, got a 2nd hand elc one in toyshop, might think about batcave when a bit older as he is a bit obsessed, but think 2 is prob too young, we did find a batman figure which he will love. I do have a few bits to add to his train set, and some washable pens. Was tempted by 2nd hand scooter in good condition, but think will wait til he is 3 and he might be able to scoot without breaking my back! Think my shopping is almost done, just 18yr old nephew to go, will probably give up and do voucher again!
