I have some presents to post to a family where the parents are divorced. I don't know where the children will be spending Christmas, and we usually send to children and parents. Have tried not to take sides. Can I post to one of their addresses, addressed to the teenage girls and let them distribute accordingly. I don't want to send one present on own to one parent and other three to other parent as that looks a bit as if taking sides.

I would think that would be fine, could you ring one of the tgeenagers and find out the familys plans? That may not be appropriate so use your judgement!

Or you could send all of the presents to the original address (presuming that one parent still lives in the 'family' home), with a quick note saying you are unsure you have the correct contact details so have sent everything here and you hope they don't mind distributing for you.

I think it depends on what your relationship is with either parents, for example if you are related to one you should send the presents there. If not and you really are neutral ie joint friend then you should perhaps try and find out where the children will be. It depends as well really on how amicable the parents are, if they hate each other then if you send to either one, the other will see this as taking sides (trust me i speak from experience). I would either send to the parent i was closest to, or find out where the children will be but definatly tricky.

ooo i agree with oreo thats a good idea if one still lives in the family home send there.

No different homes, parent a has already sent to ours, and is person we knew first, but girls live with parent b as was parent a who left. Both sent last year. Neither related. Think parent a would be more upset than parent b, so might address to girls at that address.

If you knew parent a first i would say parent a should be the person you send them too. Thats what i would do.
