For a nearly 4 year old boy there seems so many on the market and I am not sure of the ELC

I got his quercetti one from an ebay seller which I thought looked quite good. It came quite quickly too.

We have the galt one, and it tends to stay together (when we got it the elc one had reputation for falling apart). I would say that we just have basic one and I think what they would really like is one where you can't predict where the marble will emerge, on ours you can really only set it up to come out one of two bases, and once you have dropped the marble you know where it will come out. Not sure if can get more sophisticated one but think they would enjoy that more.

We have elc one. Have had it for 5 years and it is still a much loved toy in our house!

Ds got the Galt one last year and it's great. Very sturdy and lots of variations.

We bought an elc one about 8 years ago, still very well used!

I've seen a lovely wooden one at LIDL yesterday. It was £14.99.

We've got a Galt one and I find it quite flimsy.
