DH's Xmas present - I'll get him whatever gets the most MN votes!

DH is stubbornly refusing to give me any ideas for his Xmas present and also rejecting any ideas that I come up with. I think he's toying with rejecting materialism.

So time is running out (I have to order on the internet as I hate shopping) and I have told him I'm going to appeal to the power that is MN and they in their wisdom can decide what he's getting for Christmas. He, in response, has shrugged his shoulders and grunted.

So ladies (and gentlemen) - I'll get him whatever you decide, whatever gets the most votes. Just so you know, we have a very small flat and my budget is £100 or under.

lol Maryz I loved that one it is so cool, not sure our local gardai would be too impressed to see any one wear one though they are having a major safety cclamp down on cyclists at the moment.

2kidsintow · 09/12/2011 22:10

I've given mine a swiss army knife in the past (that included a usb thing) and he uses it quite a lot.

This year he's getting an action camera from amazon. God knows why he wants it, but he asked for it when it was in their Black Friday promotion so I bought it, glad for something to give him that he actually wants.

In the past I've bought expensive things that he doesn't actually use. Not any more.

He's got 10 bits and pieces from me, inc his camera.

or a remote control helicoptor for indoors Xmas Grin

tasmaniandevilchaser · 09/12/2011 22:15

oh god maryz, you're right! Shouldn't have showed him!! I'm rubbish at this Christmas present malarkey.

Think at the mo, I'm most inclined towards some cycling paraphernalia, some Kindle vouchers and a charity donation.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 09/12/2011 22:16

oh lord, a remote control helicopter, I bet he'd love that. But he's most definitely 'not allowed' that!! Xmas Grin

Get him a hair shirt if he is steadfastly rejecting materialism

VivaLeBeaver · 09/12/2011 22:24

I got dh and my brother helicopters a couple of years ago. They both loved them. Not sure about brother but dh still has his and is very good at controlling it. Drives me insane when I'm cooking and I keep getting buzzed by the bloody thing.

How about a willy care kit..?

Presentsribbonsandmerrysantas, are you talking about Helicopters or willies?

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 09/12/2011 22:34

Xmas Grin either could get swated like a fly if he's not careful with the helicopter hovering above my head Xmas Grin

hmc · 09/12/2011 22:50

A willycare kit - really?

tasmaniandevilchaser · 10/12/2011 19:18

LOL at willies hovering above Presents' head!

Well this thread did the trick and after looking at suggestions of willycare kits and Swiss Army penknives, DH's mind was focused. He liked some of the cycling accessories suggestions, so I've got him some of those (not the skull mask though!) and a Kindle cover. I'll also make a donation to a charity of his choice. Thanks everyone!
