I just bought some more wrapping paper at B&M. Got what I thought was nice, luxury embossed wrapping paper. It's turned out to be a very wrong buy. Sellotape won't stick to it. I mean, seriously? Paper that doesn't take sellotape? Will return the other three rolls, what a waste of time.

That is a seriously awesome design flaw. Clearly they expect you to only be using luxury ribbon and nothing so classless as Sellotape.

I am hoping to finish making approx 12 miles of Christmas bunting this evening, then we are having fake Christmas tomorrow with my dad, step mother and sister. With turkey! Eek!

It really is, and I am using good Pritt Sellotape not cheap stuff. So if this won't even stick.

Fake Christmas, incidentally, is what you have when every parent has divorced and remarried at least once, and you therefore cannot fit all close relatives into the actual Christmas period. We will be cooking a big roast, decorating the tree and eating mince pies and chocolate till we pop.

Oh, and it really does feel like 300 miles of Christmas bunting. It may be a fraction less than that.

oh god that luxury paper is so shit. I gave up and went for the fancy ribbon and brown paper route. Cost me the same more than last year with the fancy wrap and ribbon but no nervous breakdown trying to get the stuff to stick!!

I don't even want to think about how much I have left to do...
