13wo ds likes bright, garish rattles, anything he can chew and soft, cloth books.

Lamaze and Tiny Love toys are lovely. And people swear by Sophie La Girafe but she's an expensive wee lady.

babloogirl · 08/12/2011 18:29

she already has sophie la giraffe, and Lamaze wrist and foot finder,

I was thinking of Dee Dee the Dragon (Lamaze) but I think she might be a little too young for it.

I am off to look for tiny love toys :)

Ds will be exactly 3 months and is getting a couple of soft toys (he didn't get any at birth), stacker cups, some musical softtoy thing, a rattle and a couple of other things (the grandparents haven't told me everything he's getting).

Our friends bought him a soft toy with lots of different textures/sounds etc (lilliputien I think) that their DD adored. DS isn't interested yet though!

I know you said a little present and this isn't, but its the best money we ever spent on DD she used it from 3-10 months jumparoo

toy box? clock for her room? My 4 mth old dd2 will be getting clothes and furniture-we have too many toys already

I like the Tiny Love Fruity Pals. DD had a banana and an orange and ds is just starting to enjoy them. He chews/sucks/shakes them and laughs with joy when they talk (my fruity voices are v funny).

At not much older than your DD my DD enjoyed playing with Sophie le Giraffe, a Lameze firefly and this Whoozit toy.

Murtette · 08/12/2011 23:20

I second Whoozit, Tiny Love & Lamaze toys. They're all brilliant & you can't have too many of them. Has she got any cloth books? My DD loved those. Or a rainmaker rattle?
She might not be able to do much with any of them now but she will in a couple of weeks.

babloogirl · 09/12/2011 01:28

Sorry didn't mean to post and run Grin

She does have 1 cloth book, gym activity centre and some rattles

I think I am going to go for Dee Dee or another Lamaze toy, probably a little rattle or book.

I like the idea of the jumperoo but it is too expensive Sad

When DS was that age we got him a little chicken from John Lewis. It was hung from the top bar of car seat and squeaked when you tugged on it and had a mirror on one side. DS loved it and was ever so proud when he finally managed to grab it a few months down the line.

I'm sure it was made by silvercross and suitable from birth, cost about £7.00.

my 21 week old DS's favourite toy is these links - he loves shaking them and chewing them and it means we can connect a chain of them to secure other toys to his pushchair/carseat to keep him occupied.
