'easy' cookbook for DP

Now I am back at work part time my dp has been in charge of dinners 3 nights a week and has been really enjoying doing it.

However he only has 3 or 4 dinners on rotation which as you can imagine is getting a bit boring!

I'm looking for a good cookbook to give him for xmas with'easy' no fuss dinners that can be cooked relatively quickly and don't require too many snazzy ingredients!

Does such a cook book exist?!

Nothing fancy required. He really has been starting at the basics like spag Bol and shepherds pie!

My Daddy Cooks would pitched about right I think.

I would recommend any of the following:

Jamie

Nigel

But, my favourite 'basic's' cookbook has to be Bill Granger

The photography is lovely, and although its a 'basic's' book the lay out makes it feel a bit more upmarket. I have never had a bad recipe from Bill. From this book my staples are; Carbonara, Coq au Vin, and the lamb curry.
