I really like reading what's in everyone else's Xmas Smile

DD (4.6)

  • little play figures from various films she likes, all from ebay - Toy Story, Wallace and Gromit etc. If I'd thought about it, they would've been perfect for a fabric/wooden advent calendar, but it's a bit late now!
  • cuddly Dangermouse and Penfold
  • Science Museum 'instant photos'
  • Little Einsteins xmas DVD
  • mini Xmas jigsaw

DS (2.4)

  • Happyland figures that were too small for the tree
  • Disney snake figure (I think it's Kaa? From ebay again)
  • mini snake colouring book
  • cuddly Hong Kong Phooey
  • ELC colouring cards and crayon
  • Roary xmas DVD
  • Roary mini library
  • magnetic fishing

They are both getting a clementine, a toothbrush and a magic flannel (tradition) and also this year a train each (Brio style) with their initials on.

Also need something very small and chocolatey, any ideas?

They have some magic flannels in Boots on 3 for 2 - this year I've seen Peppa Pig, Chuggington, Cars, Zingzillas and probably a few more.

I got Peppa and Chuggington ones the other week. Then I realised I'd already bought snow white/bob the builder ones on eBay months ago Xmas Blush

Ds nearly 1
little wooden train, squashy cars, Gruffalo money tin, socks, a biscuit (!! Christmas morning treat!!), small plastic animal.

Wrapped them already (not the biscuit!) to check they spill out the top of the stockings :)

Ismeyes · 04/12/2011 19:56

Space Balloons
Chocolate Santa
Decorate your own toothbrush and bubblegum flavoured toothpaste
Socks
Bubblegum
Moshi Monster Mash Up Cards

Ismeyes · 04/12/2011 19:57

Oh, and a lego man head torch!

Wingdingdong · 04/12/2011 20:20

magic flannels in Sainsbury's too.

DD (2.4):

Happyland farm animals and Christmas set (wrapped individually of course).
Brio train and carriages (also wrapped individually) for her train set.
Was wondering if I could get away with wrapping track pieces from a Brio extension pack individually too!
Some of the little Lindt chocolate snowmen/Father Christmases (whatever I didn't put in her advent calendar) - think there are five in a pack, which should ensure she is totally hyper before breakfast.
A Smarties chocolate penguin (bag of smarties inside). NOT to be eaten before breakfast, or indeed Christmas lunch!
Lots of sparkly hair clips. Taken off multipacks and wrapped in pairs.
Small pack of mini colouring pencils. Tiny notebook with picture of 'cute' animal on front.
A couple of packs of mini neon post-its. I'll find them all over the house for weeks but she's obsessed.
A couple of mini tubs of playdoh from a party pack.
Lots of stickers.
Sparkly/patterned tights.
A clementine at the bottom that she'll feed to me segment by segment.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/12/2011 20:26

"Its going to be a squeeze getting us all in our bed this year!" Er, you share a bed with 4 children including a 14 year old? Confused

Caz10 · 04/12/2011 20:39

I think she meant when they all jump into their bed to open stockings together?! We kept that up as kids until I as the eldest was in my late teens/early twenties...often had just come rolling in the door from a wild Xmas eve night out...my mum started putting a can of irn bru in my stocking every year Grin!

Space balloons are from play.com, I think science museum brand do a pack too. I paid 2 pounds for them. You get a small balloon pump decorated like a spaceship, then 3 rocket balloons and 3 saucer balloons, they are the kind you pump up and let go so they whizz around.

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 04/12/2011 20:49

Hmmmmmm think I may have to reconsider how much ds is getting as stocking presents...

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 04/12/2011 20:50

Thanks re space balloons - off to look on Play now.

PontyMython · 04/12/2011 21:46

Ooh lots of great ideas on here :) probably a good thing ours are all done as I'd be spending more otherwise! Will try to remember all these things for next year though.

Slight change of plan here though - couldn't find both of their stockings from last year, but they were small and not that nice anyway [last minute emoticon] - but DH found a huge stocking in the attic (?!?) today that is perfect - and it fits both of their presents in perfectly. Must remember to arrange them so they can take turns opening though.

Also means we can fit in a train set accessory (mine tunnel) for them to share, I hadn't really known what to do with it before but this way they can test their trains on it first thing :)

Ah! That makes sense now! Grin

PontyMython · 04/12/2011 21:49

I had some space balloon type things when I was young :o fond memories of watching the spiral one whizz around!

Wingdingdong my DS has got the happyland Xmas set in his stocking, so cute isn't it :o

OP posts:
LoopyLoopsWoopDeWoops · 04/12/2011 21:50

I had Bucket-family-from-Charlie-and-the-choc-family type imaginings!

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 04/12/2011 21:52

I've just bought some of those magic bubbles - they look cool but I admit I'm a bit dubious!

UniS · 04/12/2011 22:02

DS is 5. His stocking is a football sock ( adult size)

Looks like it will filled with

light up bouncy ball
choc coins
box of tic tacs
Plastic plane glider
mini colouring book
magic flannel
bubble bath
spiderman tooth brush
lego mini fig
spinner
indoor mini frisbee

He doesn't like satsumas or there would be one of those in as well.
