Matching stockings?

My dcs are nearly 7, nearly 5 and 2. The two eldest (girls) always want each other's things, esp the 5yr old. To what extent would you match stocking fillers to avoid arguements on the day. Are having different 'big' presents. Ds prob not too bothered as long as lots of paper to unwrap, but will the girls notice the difference.

Because my DC are close in age, I duplicate most items across all the stockings, just buying different colours or versions of things, although obviously some are specifically girl or boy. Saves having to think of lots of ideas too.

I try and match the Ds's stockings to some degree, they are 4 & 5 and into pretty much the same stuff. So a DVD, bubble bath, socks, pants, sweets, and then I'll try and get things from Hawkins that are the same but in a different design/colour. DS2 has got a new Cars 2 car so I'll get a Bakugan or something for DS1 that makes it even.

I love stockings, there my favourite bit!

I have a nearly 2 DS and a nearly 5 DD ....have pretty much matched the stockings

both are getting a
toothbrush (DD disney princess electric, DS flashing),
DVD (relevant to what they like),
soft toy (hello kitty / peppa),
wooden castanets (different animals)
one of those retro wiggly snakes each - different colours
pot of playdoh
and pants (hoping DS will train in the next year!)

I only have 1 ds but if I had more I'd match the presents as much as possible. Why not. It saves in arguments. Me and dsis often had the same things in different colours ( her pink, me purple lol)

I bought four individual similar stockings last year, a gold santa, a gold reindeer, a red santa and a red reindeer, from ebay. Think they were between £2-5 each. Saves a lot of hassle in the long run!
