Dh and I are both not keen on champagne, and have a ten year old bottle of Moet in the cupboard unopened. Thinking of giving it to dd to take in school for christmas fayre donation on Friday. Will it still be ok? Don't want to poison anyone Wink

if its been kept well and isnt corked it should be more than ok. Lets just say if I was given a 10yr old bottle I'd be willing to risk it Wink

Mrs twinks, it's still in the original box, don't know if it's corked though but seal etc intact?

It should be fine (especially if it's been kept at an even, cool temp). Even if it's not, it wouldn't poison anyone. If it is corked (which you wouldn't be able to tell until it's opened, and is caused by a fungus in the cork) it'll just taste nasty, that's all.

ExP had a bottle of Moet he'd won in a raffle when he was 18, we finally opened it when we bought our first house (14 yrs later) and it was bloody lovely.

Mm mm it's been kept in the cupboard which houses the central heating boiler! Now wondering if it will be ok

Well it certainly wouldn't in the Taffy household ....but it wouldn't be around long enough Grin hic.
