Hi
Trying to think of presents for my daughters aged 6 & 8 which will last throughout the year and is not more 'stuff' to be homed. I've looked at membership to the Puffin Post book club which looks quite good - wondered if anyone had any similar ideas? Or perhaps sponsoring an animal or something like that? What's good out there??

Thanks!

Do you live close enough to a zoo/wet centre to make membership to somewhere like that an option? Leads to lots of fun family days out throughout the year!

My ds (7) has a cinema pass which I pay for every month instead of pocket money/sweets/magazines etc. He loves the cinema and so do I, so its a lovely activity that we can share, just the two of us.

Club penguin?

skrumle · 18/11/2011 22:36

moshi monsters or grid club if they use the PC?

local science centre/activity centre annual membership?

check out the tesco clubcard site (even if you don't want to use clubcard vouchers) as they have quite a few of the membership type schemes listed. RSPB do one i think, as do one of the conservation groups i'm sure.

Young Archaeologists' Club?

Are they near any big museums which do children's memberships?

We've had a lot of use out of our family [[http://www.rspb.org.uk/ RSPB] membership which includes ds's membership of Wildlife Explorers. You can get individual WE memberships too.

It probably depends on whether you have a reserve near you, or any active Wildlife Explorer groups, but you can check that out on the website.

Ds is 5 and will probably get even more out of it when he's a bit older.
