Cashmere socks...

Seen lots of suggestions for cashmere socks and think my mum would love them.... just wondered where you would all recommend getting them from? I can't say I have ever noticed them although I assume lots of places sell them.

Dont really have a budget or style in mind - Mum is early 60s and quite stylish... so suggestions please?

The White Company had some lovely ones last year....I think they were £28.

Thanks - will try there.

The travelwrap company have some really lovely ones. They're pricey but worth it as the cashmere is so soft and its all made in the UK so no worries about slave labour etc. They had a stand at the Spirit of Christmas show at Olympia a couple of weeks ago and their wraps are to die for.

Hush and Celtic Sheepskin too.

Second vote for White Company - Father Christmas bought me some one year and they are the snuggest things ever - one has worn through on the heel but that's after about four years.

You could also try the Pure Cashmere Company? Their jumpers are good, but I've never tried the socks.

Wow - those wraps are really gorgeous. Not sure I can stretch to £229 though, sadly!

I love that little hot water bottle on the wrap website, very cute!

i think that marks and spencers had them last year

possibly misleading you there, as they might not be pure cashmere. However i'm fairly sure they were under £200!

Or instead of cashmere, what about (British!) goats socks... They seem great

I'm going to try for various difficult-to-buy-for family.

Thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction.

M&S have some with cashmere in - but I am guessing that the bedsock type pure cashmere ones will be nicer - she's a fab Mam so she deserves a bit of luxury.
