When does the tree go up?!

When do you all put the tree up? DSD is begging us to put it up this weekend which seems a tad early

I will hold out until the 1st dec

The week before Christmas and not before. I prefer Christmas to be at Christmas and not around for several weeks as it devalues the specialness of it. Besides, I can't do with it cluttering up the place for so long. If I put it up at the beginning of December I would want to put it away by boxing Day.

I have put up some completely tacky from B&M Bargains tasteful lights around a bookcase Well, it gets dark sooooooo early these days

Mine goes up on or around the second Sunday in December. I used to do it with the DCs but we've all got older and I've got fussier so I'm happy to do it alone now.

Even if I was feeling really festive, there is no way it would be up before 1st December.

Ours go up on the 11th December. It's DS2's birthday on the 12th and I like having them up for that.

decorations go up the first weekend in december, and the tree the second weekend. (because i am having a real one and want it to last)

Round about the 12th Dec here, usually. Have put it up earlier sometimes, such as when I was due to move house in early Jan, needed to pack all the decs away after Boxing day.

we get a real one, and i am putting it up the weekend before. last year i put it up about 2 weeks before and it wasn't at it's best by xmas.

I will find it very difficult to wait that long!
