Would like to get a nice one but haven't seen anything I like so far.

Lakeland have a nice advent one but it's not cheap! DS1 got it a few years ago off his grandma & it's really nice.

Have you tried your local garden centres? One near me had a lovely child's wooden one about £25 I think.

Just moved and have yet to discover local centre, may try at the weekend.

Have now seen the knitted GLTC one - nice too.

Is it for a child to play with? I noticed today that Playmobile do a really nice one (think it was about £25) and should last for years.

Just had arrive today a wooden one I ordered from Great Little Trading Co. It's really lovely, so pleased with it. Saw in the catalogue that they do a knitted one and a felt one but didn't think they would survive my two-year-old so well.

I got a wooden one last year from homebase which was only £10

They had some nice ones on the traidcraft website.
