Which presents does Santa bring in your house?

Me and DP are having an argument disagreement about which presents Santa is responsible for.

He thinks that Santa buys and brings all the presents for kids except the ones from relatives.

I think that Santa is responsible for the stocking only and any presents under the tree are from Mum and Dad and family.

Who is right? And does the kids' age matter? ie his way when they are young and my way once they are old enough to question why Mum and Dad haven't bought them anything? Grin

What happens in your house?

In our house, FC brings the stocking presents, with three requested presents in it. I give them presents under the tree, along with other family members.

However, my aunt always did it that everyone sent their Christmas presents to FC who would deliver it on their behalf, so their FC present would be labelled "to X love gran" for example. No right way, but I think my way is the more expensive option! Grin

Quite strict in our house hold.

We set a limit of 7 presents per child only.

FC will bring one and only a small one.

The stocking is mostly full of nuts and oranges. There may be something small like bubbles in it, or a pack of playing cards and a pencil.

We were adamant that before we had DC that they were not to be spoilt.

We work very hard for our dosh and we want DC to know, that we go out work and we buy the gifts.

We really do not want spoilt brats who think all that hard work has come from Santa! Our children have to thank anyone who is kind enough to give them a gift, by writing, and also if possibly personally, and also we thought them to give us a thank you note too.

We also ask them to learn something off by heart to perform to us, as a way of thanking us for the gifts or even a little show...nothing to strenuous but just as a way of giving thanks.

Works for us !

Santa brings the sack. Everything else is from whoever bought it.
