I know some people will say it's too early, but we go by the Coca-Cola ad rule in this house, when it's on you know it's nearly Christmas !

And I saw it for the first time yesterday.

It's officially nearly Christmas.

Sorry, I really ought to apologise for my Dutch. I have had 72 pints already, it's bound to be a bit off.

Way too early. It's only 14th November - bah, humbug.

Joking apart , I think that one of the reasons I don't enjoy Christmas as much these days is that is goes on for far too long. I much prefer to keep Christmas at Christmas. The advent calendar goes up on 1st December, but we don't put up the tree until the week before Christmas. Any earlier than that and I would want to take it down on Boxing Day. We don't even keep it up for the full 12 days afterwards as OH has a birthday at the beginning of January and I like to get Christmas out of the way.

We don't have a large family and they all live miles away so the only visitor we get is MIL.
