Huggle Buddies?

Plonker · 13/11/2011 13:49

Dd wrote her letter to Father Christmas this morning and has asked for a Snuggle Buddy. I've had a quick google and found them on Amazon for £25

Has anyone found them anywhere any cheaper?

It's the ladybird one that she wants.

TIA

I think Home Bargains had deals on these recently but I can't get their website to load at the moment. There are various different brands - try googling pillow pets, cuddle pets etc, ooh look at [[http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/220866230004?var=lv

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 13/11/2011 15:34

I got them online and they were much cheaper than that. I just googled pillow pals or pillow pets iirc. We have a ladybird one so they do do them.

heymammy · 13/11/2011 15:38

Yes to Home Bargains...exact same toy for a fiver or thereabouts, I've just bought some for the party present cupboard Smile

Marne · 13/11/2011 16:06

I bought one from home bargains 2 weeks ago, was planning on buying another if the first one looked ok (which it did, its perfect) but now they have no stock Sad, hopfully they will be instock again soon as they are fab.

I live too far away from a Home Bargains, but have seen similar in Dobbies and Debenhams a while back.

DD1 wanted a unicorn so I got one from ebay for £13 and it is lovely - it has the label on the corner etc so is a genuine one. Some looked very different, and sizes vary also - my daughter would have noticed if it was not genuine.

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 13/11/2011 19:18

I saw them in Hawkins Bizarre today in edinburgh, maybe check there? Not sure if they have an online store?!

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 13/11/2011 19:21

Bazaar Hmm I just checked and i don't see them online, only something similar, but they most certainly had them instore, cause my DS was checking out the monkeyGrin and i think they had ladybirds :)

Ismeyes · 13/11/2011 20:19

Ashaboo, which eBay seller did you use? Have been trawling eBay to find a nice one, as some of them look worse than others.

AshaBoo · 13/11/2011 20:26

I used this seller

AshaBoo · 13/11/2011 20:28

I am as sure as I can be that it is genuine. The sewinq quality is typical of mass produced stuff (I usually make my own) and it has yet to be used as it is put away for Christmas.

Ismeyes · 13/11/2011 20:48

Thanks Ashaboo, that does look good, just off to see if they have any others.

Plonker · 13/11/2011 21:15

Thanks all Smile

I'll check out Home Bargains tomorrow as there's one right near work. Failing that, the ebay one looks very reasonable. Thank you.

Just a word of warning, DD#1 had one for her birthday this year. We wrapped it and didn't check it first - the stitching was incomplete over quite a large portion of the body...Cue one bawling child and no chance of being able to send it back as she wouldn't part with it. Lots of sewing up required to sort it all out. Just check them over carefully when you get them through just in case the same happens to avoid on the day disappointment! (DD#2 wants one now...we will be buying another!)

5inthebed · 13/11/2011 22:07

Argos have somethng similar for £15. Can't find it online though and no catalogue here.

sunnyday123 · 13/11/2011 22:12

i got the unicorn on ebay too for £15 - same as pillow pets

vogonmothership · 13/11/2011 22:18

Our Total garage has them for a fiver, lot better quality than the ebay ones I got that weren't stitched properly - like the ones beautifulgirls had

Plonker · 14/11/2011 21:53

None in Home Bargains Sad

Beauregard · 14/11/2011 22:27

The Range had these in today ,i think they were 7 or 8 pound unless i read it wrong.

Plonker · 14/11/2011 23:19

Oh right, thanks. I'll see if there's one local to me Smile

I bought these ones argos

They've got ladybird, dog, or lion, seem fine, bigger than some of the cheaper ones I've seen.

Marne · 15/11/2011 13:49

Home bargains has then now (or they did last night) but only the lady bird ones, for 4.99 Grin.

moragbellingham · 18/11/2011 10:05

I bought one off Ebay and it reeks of cigarettes - am going to have to sort it outSad and now find a replacement.

Flisspaps · 18/11/2011 10:14

Now I've got the stupid bloody song off the Huggle Buddies advert playing in my head Hmm

Thehusbandsatcricketagain · 18/11/2011 10:49

I concur with beautiful above,ds had one for his birthday & the stitching was not complete on the proper huggle buddies, had to sew his up as he would not return it as was soooo in love with it

Willowisp · 18/11/2011 22:49

Just give it a hot wash with some biological powder & I'll be fine.

I'd also complain to the bay seller
