I have a bike and a child's wooden chair to wrap this year and I'm coming up blank. Any ideas?

Try and find your answer on there might be some ideas for you.

Child's chair - put it in a big box? (the kind a washing machine comes in?)

You can't wrap a bike so don't even try.

With the bike, wrap a small box, with a clue to where he finds his treasure....

Think you Shadow that ham me laughing out loud. Especially the bow. Absolutely no help whatsoever but worth the laugh :)

You can buy very large gift bags in a lot of shops - ones that are meant to hold lots of presents, presuming its a childs bike it should fit in one of those. My friends 5 yr old fits it one! Think you need a box for the chair though!

stargazer83 · 09/11/2011 23:45

Had obviously not ham.

That might work. The bikes a 20 inch so not that big. Unfortunately I don't have any large boxes to fit a chair as it comes flat pack and I have to put it together

Just watched that link Grin fantastic! would try that on my cat but I need my limbs!!

piprabbit · 09/11/2011 23:53

Get one or two rolls of that extra wide wrapping paper.
Stand the bike (or chair) where it is going to be unwrapped (i.e. do it last thing Xmas eve and don't try to move it once wrapped).

Wrap the present loosely by wrapping paper round the sides and sellotaping it across the top. Make sure that you can't see any bits of the present sticking out. Forget about trying to wrap underneath the present.

It works fine - and the DCs are so busy unwrapping that they don't care that it's not 100% covered.

I have this feeling that Halfords sell bike wrapping packages. Although I may have made that up.

piprabbit · 10/11/2011 00:29

Good call ASuitableGirl - here it is.

ASuitableGirl · 10/11/2011 00:30

It does exist :) I was right]]

ASuitableGirl · 10/11/2011 00:31

Incapable of doing a link though Grin. Thank you for being rather more capable piprabbit :)
