I want DD to make some nice Xmas treats for her teachers. Can anyone recommend a recipe that we could make soon and freeze so when it's time to give them we can just roll out and bake when we don't have much time closer to the end of term?

I was just about to post the same question. I hope someone answers you...

There are some thoughts here on the subject chowhound.chow.com/topics/739722

This website is normally pretty reliable. Look also at the thread titles at the bottom of the thread linked to about cookies people are baking for Christmas (the ones with hundreds of posts). There are some really good ideas on there for Christmas baking.

Thanks! I'll have a look at this site later when I'm on the computer! I'm thinking most cookies will freeze well because of the fat?

I think all of them can be done but just not cooked, but I could be wrong!

I've been making cookies for my 10th Dec wedding. I've made Cranberry and white chocolate and the chocolate shortbread from Nigella's Christmas.

The shortbread was iced before it was frozen. I've done it before and it's always been fine. Nigella says you can freeze both of these for up to 3 months.
