And I think I've changed my mind. Please help me decide! I was set on red, white and green. A sort of nordic feel. Found some lovely thing (all our decorations went missing when we moved so we are starting afresh) but saw some fab plum and pale gold bits today. I really can't decide between the two. Please help!

I reckon you could get away with gold.

Perhaps not plum. But as long as you avoid pink and blue

We started off with red and green, with wooden, and clear glass allowable. No tinsel. Not to much sparkly crap in generall really. And then we had children.....

Now our tree is a mixture of my original understated tastefulness and various home-made 'objects' and the little bits of tat that my children fell in love with over the years. It's brilliant!

I do like the idea of being v mix and match, proper santa's grotto style! bought the little wooden ones today and these Im sticking with my original idea. Ive made something simillar to this but with wooden buttons and green beads as well so I thought I would stick to my original idea. no tinsel here either, beads and ribbons!
