Is booze appropriate, do you think? I have made some flavoured vodka/gin etc and (thanks to MNetters help!) have decided to bottle them in small bottles and package them together. I am not sure whether or not they make good gifts for people who you don't really know though - I have some friends in mind I am giving them to but not sure if they would be well received by my ds's teachers - I am a teacher myself and I would LOVE it if my pupils gave me a present like this, what does anyone else think?

My Mum always gave me a bottle of wine for my teachers and it went down very well Grin

From the teachers I know I also think they'd really appreciate alcohol - at Christmas you get too much chocolate anyway.

When faced with the question 'Is booze an appropriate gift for a teacher' DH said 'Yes', however he's very unsure about homemade flavoured vodka.

He's not sure about anything homemade to be honest though, which is a shame because I like to think of myself as the secret lovechild of Martha Stewart and Kirstie Allsopp.

I have had the same reaction from my DH, Flisspaps! He thinks it sounds disgusting - it is the first time I have made it (inspired by the same as you!) so I hope it is a good as I imagine it to be, and not like some kind of toilet cleaner....
