Hi

Do any of your DC have the large Tomica sets ? My DS who will be 8 at the weekend is very keen on the large set in our local toyshop. It looks very impressive set up in a glass case and I think it is a number of sets combined.

I think it is probably aimed at younger children and I'm worried my DS will get bored of it or be disappointed. If your DC has it what age are they and do they play with it ??

Any views welcome !!

We do! My son is 4yrs and is probably only just about old enough to enjoy it. He doesn't have the imagination yet to build his own 'interesting' tracks and still gets upset by derailments or his little brothers interference so I still see a lot of years play left in it yet.

Its a grown up track through my eyes, with a lot of room for expansion. We got it because its compatible with Thomas the tank engine, but once this fascination passes, there are plenty of other 'normal' trains to continue with.

You could start off small and see if he still plays with it?
