Ok please help me to choose good presents...!

Last year was dd's 1st Christmas and although we had a wonderful time I felt that the presents I chose for her were slightly rubbish. We don't want dd to be spoilt and scrooge/DP has set a limit of £100 which I have managed to agree to as long as that doesn't include stocking presents. DD will be 2 in January btw. So I have bought some happyland farm sets to go with her existing farm plus a leapfrog laptop which was bought before agreeing to limit. The £100 is going on a kitchen. So need some little bits/stocking fillers/ideas for aunties and uncles as these Christmas/birthday toys will have to last her until she is 3 as she doesn't get much in the year. She is very bright and active and some things will probably get put away so can be a bit too old for her iyswim.....! Thanks

I went to TK Maxx yesterday and bought some amazing sticker books, crayon sets and toys at big discounts. The toy section is brilliant and it's a good mix of famous and unusual brands.

I'm so pleased there's a Christmas board by the way. I LOVE it, esp the shopping.

Search Amazon for anything and you'll find it, i found some great crayons and colouring books on there for cheap!! Duplo, books?

How come the happyland which is ££ and the leapster dont count to the £100 limit?

I would second Duplo, also how about a dolls/pram or buggy to push around, a 3 wheel scooter?

We have a beautiful wooden kitchen that we bought from IKEA. As for stocking fillers, I usually buy loads of chocolate gold coins from M&S and throw them in my children's sacks. I also buy kiddies crackers (e.g. Peppa Pig) and put a few in. Your daughter may be a little young for this but last year we bought my 5 year old the Polar Express movie. Then we purchased a Polar Express Bell off Amazon (you have to see the movie to appreciate this) and wrapped it up in candy striped paper with a green ribbon and left it out for him with a note from Santa. According to the movie only people who believe can hear the bell and we spent a hilarious Christmas telling my son that the bell didn't work, with him trying to convince us it did. Perhaps something for future Christmases! You sound like a lovely mum. I am really a true believer that you should make your children's Christmas as magical and as lovely as possible.

Thanks for all suggestions gonna have a look in today for some bargain stocking fillers. One of her aunties is gonna get her duplo and think an uncle may get her a till. Will look in tk max for some sticker books as she loves "tickers"

The leaptop doesn't count as I had already bought it cheap off play.com and bought happyland animals off eBay as stocking fillers, it was agreed that £100 limit did not include stocking fillers. Total cost of stocking can be £30 ish but gonna throw in DVD, jammies, socks ect that she would need/get regardless so around £20 to spend. After some little £2-5 items that she will get use out of now and a suggestion for another auntie and uncle.

Hmmm.... How much was ikea kitchen if you don't mind me asking...? Might take a trip as sounds like some good stuff

Not sure as I live in Singapore. I think we paid about GBP70.00 for it from Ikea so you can bet that it is cheaper than that in the UK as we usually get ripped off here.
