So far I have got some lego mini figure soaps from ebay. They smell fab and a packet of tissues that look like £10 notes from the pound shop.

LordOfTheFlies · 21/10/2011 20:19

I got some of those tissues from The Works for my DS for school.
We got the £50 note ones (Dreadful social climbers, DS wipes his nose on a £50 note Grin )

olibeansmummy · 22/10/2011 07:43

ds will be 2.7 and i've just finished his stocking. DH is refusing to get it down from the loft though so i can see if the gifts I have bought fill it lol!
There is:

a small toy story football to go it the toe of the stocking.
Cars boxer shorts and socks
3 small playmobil sets
Stamper pens
Stickers
Chocolate coins and snowmen from Aldi
A tube of fruit pastels
A mickey mouse watch
Cars foaming soap
Other stuff i can't remember...
And a small mickey mouse teddy that will be looking out the top :)

olibeansmummy · 22/10/2011 07:43

ps the sweets and chocolate are to last a while, not be eaten all on xmas day!

lilolilmanchester · 22/10/2011 08:25

ha, good luck with that one olibean!!

gregssausageroll · 22/10/2011 10:20

Thanks everyone. brilliant ideas.

He'll get his disney soft toy (which is really meant for me as I collect them!) from Disney Store with the year on its foot along with some of the stuff you have mentioned above.

Love the disposable camera idea but I think MIL is getting him one of the vtech cameras as a present.

Do you have the shop Buyology in your town?

I went to ours the other day and its brilliant for xmas stockings and really cheap. They also had some of the nicest wrapping paper ive seen anywhere and its 70p- not just christmas paper either.

There they had a can of black alien goo 59p
bogeys coming out of a monster nose 1.49
science experiment kits £7.00
the puzzles you get in the entertainer that are about £5, were ALL 1.50

my son is 5 by the way so it may not be so great for other ages

scotgirl · 22/10/2011 18:48

I've decided to enter into the spirit of things...

My DS is getting a Knog Frog LED light for his scooter/bike helmet. Less than £10.

They are fab - flexible silicon and so stretch. My nephews wear the red ones on the back of their helmets ( in addition to normal bike lights). THey are mega bright. My DS is just 5 but will think they are cool for going to/ from school on the pavement!

LordOfTheFlies · 22/10/2011 20:06

scotgirl you have been lured to the dark side. You know it is futile to resist the Christmas thread. Mwah ha ha Grin

tassisssss · 22/10/2011 20:54

Finger chopper joke thing from Hawkins
Lego figures
Harry potter wand
Tech decks
Bath basket ball set (amazon)

scotgirl · 22/10/2011 21:05

Lord good god I'm even searching all the Christmas stuff on Pininterest tonight - Xfactor deadly boring and I'm not a strickly fan...

GHAHSTLYGHOULYpants · 22/10/2011 21:36

i blardy love pininterest! just been searching around it now!

moajab · 22/10/2011 22:26

tassisssss - I bought the finger chopper for my DSs stocking last year and he loved it - a few months later he drew it at school for his favourite toy (totally eclipsing all the more expensive toys he'd been bought!) It is seriously scarey though - I haven't had the nerve to put my finger in it yet! :o

fruitcorner · 22/10/2011 22:53

Things I put in over the years are wind up toys, headtorch, blu-tak/sellotape/post-its!, battery pencil sharpener, magnifying glass, blobits, storyCD, pants etc

JarethTheGoblinKing · 04/11/2011 12:00

just bumping to get this back on 'threads i'm on'

paperchase have some interesting stuff, though not as good as last year. Worth a look if you're buying stuff anyway.

leftmydignityatthedoor · 04/11/2011 12:37

I hadn't done stocking when this was first started but can contribute now:

Playmobile mini figs
Scooby doo goo thingymajig
Sweets
Club penguin knight soft toy
Lightning mcqueen klipkitz
Dvd - cars 2
Halos and horns bubble bath
New toothbrush
Build your own wooden radiator springs set (£1 shop)
Stickers
Googly eyes
Playdough
1 car

Carrotsandcelery · 04/11/2011 14:11

Santa has given mine a giant ginger bread man (john Lewis) the last 2 years and it has made sure that dd (now 10) has maintained her belief in Santa. She announced that Santa must be real because there is no way on Earth Mum would let her have a gingerbread man that size. Grin

olibeansmummy · 04/11/2011 18:23

Leftmydignityatthedoor: I read that as ' make your own radiator set' lol!

TheHouseofMirth · 06/11/2011 20:47

Poundland has head torches in the bike section. Haven't though further than that. Last year Lidl had some chocolate-filled metal music boxes which were a hit with the DSs. DS1 also liked his harmonica last year.

Note2Self · 07/11/2011 16:56

Lego mini figures
Super Mario mini figures
Joke Book
Whoopy cushion
Club penguin Puffle soft toy
Tub of playdough
Mini torch
Musical YoYo
Spiderman Gloves
Toy Story bubble bath
Expandable Christmas flannel
Set of mini Christmas stories
Christmas stickers
Christmas stationary set
Christmas socks
Mini Toy Cars toothpaste
Chocolate coins, satsuma, mini crackers from pound shop & a candy cane will be added last minute.
