iPod Nano - what age child is this appropriate for?

Open question really - DH and I in debate.

Oops, I meant we've not had a problem with him mis-placing it!

I have a Nano, they're not just for children (they're also for adults who don't have hundreds to spend on an iPod classic/touch) but I would say probably 9 years old plus.

Ds1 had an iPod touch when he was 7. He dropped it and broke the very fragile screen within 1day. So it's repaired and had a rubber cover but I won't let him out the house with it. He uses it a lot though.

Ds2 is listening to my shuffle at the moment and it's ideal for just music as it clips onto you. I might get him one for Xmas and an iPod touch for use inside only.
