yule log recipes/filling that don't involve raw eggs

I want to make yule log for christmas but usual delia recipe out as it involves chocolate mousse that has undercooked egg in which is out as I'm pregnant.

any alternative good recipes or fillings I could use? Preferably (fussy) child friendly (so chocolate based or cream would be good)

I would cheat and use Betty Crockers- the dark chocolate buttercreamy icing. (I can't make buttercream to save my life)

Or what about buying a chocolate mousse, slightly defrosting and use that ( it will be made with pasteurised eggs unless it states otherwise)

I use this one every year

I think NIgella's would be ok - it's in the Christmas book

If eggs are lion marked (and all the eggs you get from the supermarket will be) then they will have been laid by chickens who have been vaccinated against salmonella.

No salmonella in the chickens = no salmonella in the eggs = no reason not to eat uncooked or lightly-cooked eggs.

My friend used to sandwich her chocolate cakes together with a half and half mixture of buttercream and Nutella, was delicious!

what about birds dream topping?! if u make it as the packet says but with a little less milk, it will be thicker consistency and be more like cream! - half the calories as well, but still delicious in taste!
