Christmas wish lists- when?

When do you ask the DC to write their wish lists? I usually do it towards the end of this month. Am itching to get going but am anxious that minds don't get changed (swayed by whatever plastic crap is being pushed on them by adverts usually).

After Bonfire Night here.

Towards the end of November. Ds' list is fairly short (3 things) so it's generally pretty easy to manage.

I have been preparing for christmas for the last month so am already excited and desperate to ask him to do his list already but I have to wait otherwise his excitement starts too early and he gets a bit fed up of the whole thing by the time Christmas actually comes!

Letter to Santa gets left out on the last night of November and the elves collect it and leave an Advent Calendar to acknowledge receipt (sometimes with a letter from Santa, depending on how busy he's been!)
