Play kitchen- will I regret it?

I've seen the most beautiful wooden toy kitchen for very cheap locally, but considering the space it'll take up will I end up regretting it? It would mainly be for ds who is 3, but I also have a 7 yo dd and one on the way. Is it one of those things that ends up languishing in the corner or are they generally get well used?

Ours just gathers dust. Worst thing we ever bought.

we have the wooden elc one it's now 5 years old... most played with toy over all i would say (by ds and dd) def worth the money in our house.

Another vote for no...my kids love the food, the pots and pans, cutlery, glasses, etc but don't go near the lovely kitchen we have. If you decide to go for one, I've also heard great things about the Ikea wooden kitchen.

Ours is one of our most played with toys. My lovely SIL got it in a car boot for a fiver and we've had it for about 5 years now and it's played with most days.

It's a vintage version of this one

We have wooden separates - washing machine, oven and sink. All with loads of storage. I bought tehm for DS for Christmas 2 years ago for about £65 each. Its had loads and loads of play and I think its been great value. I think that as you have a baby on the way too, you'll definitely get loads of value out of it. Ours is full of wooden play food - baskets of fruit and veg, pizza and a Melissa & Doug birthday cake which has been in and out of the oven so many times you wouldn't believe. Its all still going strong and I am really pleased with the purchase even 2 years on.

I posted this groupon link on the dolls house thread, I promise I am not getting anything or spamming but thought it might be useful to you too.

You'll not regret it. I bought dd a kitchen for her 3rd birthday. It is played with A LOT, and the role play just gets cuter and more intricate as she gets older! Enjoy!
