Gift ideas for 2.10 year old girl

Just wondering what others are giving their little toddler girls for Christmas?
She already has dolls, pram, kitchen, playdough, books, trike, Duplo, musical instruments....

Was thinking of some dressing-up things. She has a fairy outfit, so could add to that with a nurse outfit & medical case, maybe some dressing up shoes etc. and a storage basket to keep it all neatly. Needs to be nothing too bulky as we will be away for Christmas.

Other family members also asking for ideas and I don't know what to suggest....anyone got any brainwaves? Thanks

ELC's Happy Land stuff is good. Or if she likes Peppa Pig some of the Peppa Pig toys e.g. house, car etc (my 2 year old DS likes them too)

i second happyland stuff, its fantastic, lasts for ages and my son loves it. He's just turned 3 and there are some gorgeous sets im looking forward to buying for my DD when she is old enough.

A warning about character toys. DS got the Peppa Pig rocket last christmas and it fell to bits after just a few days and this was being played with gently.

The PP car is good, very durable but i find the playsets too flimsy

Happyland and dressing up stuff are both popular in our house. My son also got the Playmobil children's zoo for his 3rd birthday recently which he likes playing with. It's marketed at age 4+ (playmobil has lots of little bits) but I've found that ok for him. He's also got the playmobil dolphin set which he loves.

For other family members what about Orchard toys and games? They have a lot for 3 year olds - the shopping list game in particular is a big hit. Or something like a post office set for a bit of role play? Bigjigs and Melissa & Doug do lots of nice wooden accessories to go with kitchens too.

Puzzles - you can get lots of sets with 4 puzzles in one box for ages 3 and up.

Craft sets, my 2 girls (5.5 and nearly 4) love kids scissors, glue, stickers and feathers, beads, crayons, coloured paper etc to make pictures with. A friend of mine put together a craft box for her DD's 3rd birthday.

Depending on the child my DD2 loves Playmobil and Sylvanian Family things and has done since before she was 3.

A barbie doll or clothes for her existing dolls?

Toy cash register?

Books?

Foam letters and shapes for the bath?

my dd almost 3 years old has asked for her own ipod touch as she plays music, games and timmytime on her sisters, i think i will be getting her some clothes for her bear and maybe a micro scooter.
she has also asked for every toy that has been shown on the tv, 'ooo can santa buy me that' bless her

Thanks again for all the suggestions. ELC Happyland order placed this morning. Love the look of playmobil but new baby due in 4 wks so decided against it because of the small parts. New DC can collect playmobil when he/she is older! Also will be placing order on Amazon for a whole pile of Melissa & Doug stuff, not for DD, but for friends' kids for Christmas presents. Love the look of Bigjig stuff too. It's good to know recommended brands to type in to amazon to narrow the search a bit. Thanks again, everyone :)

Ah yes, playmobil and young babies don't really mix. I hope that you didn't pay full price for the happy land? It's often on special offer or 20% off codes are usually easy to pick up.

You can't go wrong with Melissa & Doug and Bigjigs stuff. We've got a few things of both and have bought sets for presents for other people and I've always been happy with them.

Beware of Happy Land. We got DD the fairy castle for Christmas last year and the doors have fallen off SO many times and now won't go back on :( Not happy.

I think we are doing a wooden dollhouse for DD (3) this year.

yes our doors kept falling off, in the end left them off, but the kids still loved playing with it

Don't worry, I didn't pay full price, got 20% off thanks to promotional codes & vouchers section of MN . Also, I read the reviews of the fairy castle, and they all mentioned the doors falling off, so I ordered the village which seems to have better reviews. DD will inherit my old wooden dolls' hse when she is older and small parts not too much of a hazard around younger DC.

Phew! DS has the village. We've got one of the storage boxes which doubles as a playmat which is quite handy.

dd is 3.6 and last year we got her a balance bike which she is still hard to prise away from now! She goes to pre-school and school on it every day if it isn't raining Speeds the school run up no end!
Dd2 also loves her scooter, tramploline, bouncy castle, colouring things, DVDs, books.
My neice and nephew love the proper keyboard with microphone in pink from Argos I got last year for DN's Birthday.
The small world things were short lived like peppa pig house, hoover etc.
Mine both enjoyed dressing up.
