Chutney Question

I've posted in food, but they aren't into chutney at the moment.

I made some apple chutney yesterday, which smells yummy, the only problem is I could only get large jars in my lunch break, dd couldn't possibly wait another day so it's made and in the pots cooling.

I would have prefered to use smaller jars, so I could give them as presents at Christmas (dd plans to design labels).

Would it be possible to transfer the chutney into smaller jars once I've found some (sterilised of course) or am I likely to give everyone food poisoning?

Can't answer your question I'm afraid but would love a link to your recipe :) - can't find it!

Oh, my first recipe request Grin

I used the closest one I could find to the chutney we bought on holiday in Cornwall and loved.

classic apple chutney

I'd be tempted to heat the chutney up again before transferring to the sterile jars. Sounds delicious.

Will do, thanks.
