badtaste summer never really came that's probably why I am getting into the Christmas spirit so early. If we'd had/were having a lovely summer I wouldn't want to think about Christmas!

I got my brown paper from eBay. £3.50 for a huge roll including p&p :-D

yes candy canes! I got married at xmas and I had a massive basket of them at my wedding. That's def my thing. Im stealing that too.

Cherry- in our local The Entertainer they had a pack of doctor who annual/books reduced- can't remember how much, but a lot off it. And In asda yeasterday, there was the 11th doctors sonic screwdriver projector reduced down too- it was in the seasonal aisle, with the garden reductions in my store, might be worth looking?

I'm having a different colour scheme to previous years. Myself and ds moved into our new place a few months ago and unfortunately had to start again with all furnishings etc which includes xmas decs.

I always used to have a cream tree with red and gold decs (and gift wrap). However, now my living room has a green theme to it so probably going to go for the normal green tree, although I've no idea what other colours to put with it. I have to have red somewhere as, to me, that's the main Christmas colour and I can't imagine it feeling festive without some red!

I'm going to put some multicoloured lights in ds's bedroom window so he can watch them twinkling while drifting off to sleep.

Other than the green tree and lights though, I really have no idea!! I'll be watching here to pick up some ideas.... so keep them coming!
