So excited about Christmas. Usually nearly done my shopping by now. I have written a list of all the people i have to buy for and a budget but can't think of anything!! How is everyone else getting on with there lists.

Sleepyspaniel - fair enough - though I have to admit that I thought it must be a joke. I pull cat's-bum faces when supermarkets start putting Christmassy items out in September. Still - I expect when you lot have everything wrapped I'll be placing my online orders whilst you open up your summer holiday brochures! Smile

ps although I like to think I put considerable thought into buying presents and take pleasure from it, I wouldn't say that I get excited by Christmas until about 20th Dec! Grin

And I guess when I made the comment about budgets it wasn't because I'm super-wealthy but because I'm actually shocked at how much people spend on gifts - especially if they can't afford it.

I know people on benefits or low incomes who save all year to buy their 2 year old kids £200 gifts. Mine have had things like a snooker table costing £5 as their main present because that's what was their heart's desire at the time. Now they're teens they have more expensive tastes but when they were little I didn't feel that the quality of their Christmas was defined by the budget allocated to their gifts!
