I'm so glad I found this thread. Most people think I'm weird because I start buying gifts from July onwards.

I've got all my cards/wrapping from the M&S sale last January. Less than half the price...I'll be doing that every year Smile

There are so many sales on at the moment that I'm keeping my eyes peeled for bargains. If anyone doesn't look at on a regular basis I recommend both of these websites: Hot UK Deals and MSE Grin

argos, asda and tesco have loads of offers on at the mo. Games consoles and games currently have 20% off in tesco right now.

trixymalixy · 16/08/2011 18:13

I have bought for all my friends' kids, got a book, DVD and game set for the two youngest girls for £5 reduced from £20 in tkmaxx. Playmobil half price at £5 in the boots sale for the eldest 2, and timmy time tv toy reduced from£10 to £5 for the babies. Also a half price playmobil police car for my nephew. The boots sale us definitely worth a look.

Also bought ally Xmas cards in the sale last year!

johnworf · 17/08/2011 08:56

I've picked up a Wii in the tesco 20% offer plus had some Tesco clucard vouchers and paid £45. That's my nephew sorted out Smile

Got some books for friends' children from The Book People - The Julia Donaldson collection was well worth £9.99. Confused

Some more secondhand lego from Ebay for youngest DD and a balance bike that was half price from Toys r Us.

M&S started y'day so picked up some knickers/bras for oldest DD. Smile

Ahhh the excitement!!! I've already started shopping over the past few weeks. I have to really as ds will be 2 the end of Oct so I buy for both bday and xmas at the same time. So far he has Leapfrog Octopals, Trike, Leapfrog Potsy, Drawing Board, Car / Garage Set, Leapfrog birthday cake, Vacuum, 2 DVD's, Whirley Washer, Pop to the Rescue, Crayola Bath Crayons, Thomas Train Set, Thomas playdoh set.
I've also bought my 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
I should be finished shopping for ds birthday and christmas by the end of Sept.
Has anyone bought one of those tag junior things? I'm thinking of buying that next week but wondered if they're really any good?

pissedrightoff · 26/08/2011 01:17

Got a bit carried away today and bought the rest of the Christmas presents I listed earlier (all except DH's)

Plus an extra 4 people I forgot about.

So... September pay-day= I'll get DH's presents
October pay-day= Put the money aside for him to get mine (I'll probably end up choosing them anyway)
November pay-day= Put the money away to buy Food/Drink/Christmas eve hamper supplies.

And as for December, we will be down £500 a month as my last maternity leave payment is in November. So all in all it looks like it is going to work out well. :)

Quite chuffed, Now must remember where I hide everything
