Christmas tree drooping a bit

We only got it last weekend! DH cut a bit off the bottom, it's been stood in water since. We've never had this before. Any tips to keep it looking more perky?

Is it near a heater/radiator or different location to previous years perhaps?

gillybean2 - yes, it is in the same position. we've turned the radiator down this morning, in case that is causing it (and i guess colder this year than last, so might be on longer).
