It will be just DP, DD and I this Christmas, so we're taking a low-key approach.

I will need to order the bird (probably duck)
Wrap the gifts
Iron the tablecloth

That's it, really. We'll just do a roast lunch, no biggie. I might bake a couple of cakes the day before.

I need to pick up meat/veg from farm shop on Thurs. Am really pleased I don't have a delivery booked as I would be panicking by now. Will also need to get some basic supplies by then too. Please, can the snow be gone by then?

Did the majority of the wrapping and sorting out the stockings this evening. Just need to do DH's presents plus a couple of friends'.

House is usually relatively clean - won't go to any extra effort.

So, pretty much sorted, but I guess the success will largely depend on the weather and whether or not the farm shop has managed to get its own supplies in.

We've been moving house which is now (thankfully) pretty much done and dusted. Now DH keeps on asking "what are you (i.e. me & guests) going to have for Xmas dinner?" (he is vegan, will prob have a roasted squash himself).

I normally make mincemeat/ Xmas pud on the last Sunday in November but that went out of the window this year due to aforementioned house viewing/moving malarkey.

I'm not too sure if we're spending on presents for each other, again skint due to 1st month's rent/ deposit/ Ikea expenditure.

My sis is supposed to be coming up for the first time in years (London > Manchester, she's worked in retail in past years ), but then there's all this about trains being cancelled due to the Extreme Weather ?
